How many times have you promised to do something for your family or friends and let them down. Have your friends or family ever promised to do something for you and could not keep the promise. Sometimes we mean well, but we get sick or something happens and we are unable to keep our promise. Sometimes something better comes along and we do that. I think we have all been there and have been on both sides. Do you know someone that always keeps His promises? That’s right… God always keeps his promises. God’s promises never fail. God never lets us down or has something better come along. That's because He is God and never sins. I would like to name some of God’s promises to us. 1) Eternal life (John 17:2,3) 2) The Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49) 3) Access to God (Rom 5:2) 4) Reconciliation to God (Rom:5:10) 5) Victorious Living (Rom 8:37-39 6) Growth in Christ (2Cor 3:18) 7) God’s help and presence (Heb 13: 5:6) 8) Forgives us when we confess our sins (1 John 1:9) 9) Spiritual armor for battle (Eph 6 : 10-18) These are just some of God’s promises to us. There are many more in the bible. I DARE you to find some more. So now instead of making promises we can’t keep, we can tell others about God’s promises for them. These promises will never be broken. |
