I decided that I would like to make an apple pie. I know that I need apples and
sugar and flour, but I am not sure what else I need to make an apple pie.
I need a recipe to make this pie taste good. If I use the recipe enough times, I
began to know what is in the pie.
Did you know that God's word is like a recipe, it has all the right instructions to live
a Godly life. The bible has every answer to every problem. When we read the
bible we began to learn God's way and His plan. The bible says that His word
becomes hidden in our heart.
The bible tells us that God's word is like a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
We walk around in the dark when we do not know God's word. The bible brings us
out of the darkness, and shines the light on God's word.
If I am in a dark room I will need a candle or flashlight, but in order for the light to
work I will need a match or batteries. The holy spirit helps us understand God's
word. The holy spirt comforts us and gives us wisdom, He reminds us to do good,
and convicts us when we do wrong.
Then we can walk in the light, we will know and understand the word and do God's
will and tell others.
Some of you may live in another country, you have heard about Jesus but do not
have a bible. Do not worry God will make a way for you. Please take the time to
pray for children in other countries that God will raise up ministers in their country
to teach them about Jesus.
